New Chapter Yet Again

I am preparing to start my next chapter.  I have learned contentment and I now believe I have found my purpose.  Yeah!  Finally!!

This is kind of a long unbelievable story but I am going to write about it anyway.  The other night I was sleeping soundly and then I woke to a voice saying Aunt Ginny and her rag dolls ,that was all.  Well I have not thought about those dolls for decades.  I all but forgot about them.  When I was a little girl, my dad's Aunt would make these beautiful doll for me and my sisters.  Yarn hair, cute smiles and adorable dresses.

Anyway, after waking up to those words, I decided to look up patterns, found a  very cute one with adorable dolls on the internet.  I then ordered it to be delivered this Thursday. My parents were over visiting and filled them in on my story as well.  So then on Thursday while at work, I was talking to a seventh grade girl, and saw some drawlings of charactors she had drawn that were similiar to the dolls I would be making but with a bit of edginess.  I expressed how much I enjoyed her charactors and then it popped in my head to show her my patterns and my idea sprang to life because the bodies were close enough to combined my patterns with her edgy dolls. The girl was so very excited about this idea that she took a picture of the doll pattern.  Hers were a bit darker but cute all the same, perhaps even a little more trendy.

Story continues as my director drove me home due to me having a broke leg, and I had the delivery on my front porch.  I explained to her my idea of working with this seventh grader and she then shared why this was a great idea.  She said she needs you.  She told me this girl had been struggling with dark thoughts and of not liking herself. So much if fact, that the principal and school have been talking to her parents about her thoughts.

I understand that this blog may seem a bit wordy and you may not believe or understand the significance of my excitement but I'm telling you it was a true God thing, a Holy Spirit moment for sure.  I truly believe this was a sign for me to help this girl.  If nothing else to tell her she it worthy and has true potential.  It gets better believe it or not.  We then had kids talking about the seventh graders up coming play which ever child is to participate in in one way or another.  She was smiling so big when she said, I could do sets, I can draw them and work on sets!!!  It may be nothing but is amazing how spending a few minutes talking really talking to the kids, you may just change a life!
