I am so bad at this
Here I am again, almost a year later. I guess I'm so busy living life I never take the time to sit down and write. Plus, I haven't had a computer that worked for a while. So excited to finally have a new laptop!! I have really been enjoying the grandchildren. It is really amazing how a new generation can really breath new life into your mundane boring life. I just love hearing about what they are learning in school, who their friends are, going to soccer games, birthday parties etc. I thought I would be so relieved to be finished running kids around to all their events, I and I am to a certain extent, but now I just love going to the grandkids stuff whenever I want!!!
This year has been one of great excitement for our family. Our youngest son Dan, who lives many states away from our home in Ohio, married his girlfriend of four years in June. It took a bit of planning but somehow I was able to get my entire family out to California to attend their beautiful wedding. All except my husband who is unable to travel without tremendous upheaval. With that being said, we also planned a reception with our entire family and friends two weeks after the wedding here in Ohio so Dick could attend. I did not think it would be fair to Dan & Emily to insist on having their weeding in a state that his no longer his home. It all worked out and everyone had a fabulous time!!
The summer went pretty well health wise, pretty much without a hitch! Dick is always struggling with memory, blood pressure and quite a few other issue but nothing too bad. Our greatest challenge is continuously the nursing Co issues. They just never seem to have a plan lined up for when our regular nurses are sick or need to take a vacation. They don't have other trained who can step in and take care of Dick. This is leaving me very stressed, because it usually falls on me to either try to get nurses to cover or for me to physically take over. Since I had taken care of him on my own for 25 years my back is what has suffered. This past week I have really had to reexamine weather or not I can continue on with Dick living at on, or if we need a new company to work with. We are at the place right now, for now, that we think we have a plan "B" in place, but we shall see. I have had to rely on my faith quite a bit but my anger in these situations is really testing me.
Please pray that we can get through this up coming, shut in winter, with love and prayers we seem to keep it going!
