How Do I Keep the Faith When I’m So Damned Angry

My faith has never been tested as much as in the last four weeks. My husband has been in the hospital and instead of gaining strength, he is getting increasingly weaker. The Dr.s are not helping him there and I want to bring him home NOW! My hands are tied due to all the help he will need at home and the Dr.s cooperation. I am working diligently on getting him release this week but I need to be patient. Dear Lord, please provide me with the patience and strength I need and please help Dick to get strong and back home.

Bad pneumonia, collasped lungs, he is sedated at this time with a breathing tube but lungs were pretty much cleaned out and will have a new chest x-ray again tommorrow. Pretty much started with a cough on Mon and taken to hosp Wens morn. Thanks again :))October 14 at 8:29pm Today was just a little bit of a set back, chest x-ray was not as clear as they hoped it would be so they were not able to try to let him breath on his own with the CPAP trial. Today they are just trying to loosen stuff in the lungs with respitory therapy and suction He is sedated not so much so we have been able to move him a bit and do range of movement in his arms & legs. Thank You all for the kind words. The biggest thing with flying is calling ahead to let them know your needs and then be prepared to be patient. When you get to the airport it works best to have a person who is a "transporter" they will push your IS's wheelchair while you handle the boarding passes and carry-on luggage (I use a backpack and hook it on the back of IS's chair). Waiting for transporter can take time but it is well worth it, I tried to have a little cash on hand to tip them, they take you through the airport, & know where the elevators & gates are. The transporter will usually wait until you board and they will have a aisle chair. The person at the gate desk will board handicapped first, but be ready....you are also the very last off the plane (so if you have a connecting flight allow yourself plenty of time to make your connection). This is an exercises that has helped ME for years, and a couple of my sisters were having troubles in their personal lives and I decided to share it with them to help them look at a different way to handle some things. I do not claim to have it "all together'. That is why I do this. Sometimes I see things break in the house, the car needs to go in the shop, my hair hasn't been colored in months, little money in the bank, etc... and that is when I feel like my world is crashing down around me...SO I step back and try to figure out, then I have to take "BABYSTEPS" to get back in "BALANCE"....OK what needs to be done...take the van to the shop, check. Get the hair done, check. and so on...Just saying that if I keep up on things before they get to the point of spiraling out of control it works better for "ME". Okay, WOW, it has been a very busy 9 months apparently since I have not written anything. Baby Evan Sawyer was born Aug 27, 2010. Big, healthy very active baby boy!! I have been watching him for my daughter Jackie since he was 4 wks old. He is a very busy boy making for a very busy Mema!! Her husband David got a full time job in March and seems happy. Now my first son Rich & DIL Kara have their second child on the way and due in Nov. Gabe is 4yrs old this week and super excited for the new baby, hoping for a sister he says!!
