Ponder, ponder, ponder

Right now, today, I am at a place of complete confusion. It is the most beautiful weather here in Harrison OH. I have just decided to sit out on the screened in porch to write. When I came out here this morning I did not have anything specific that I wanted to write about. But the temperature is so absolutly pleasant. I am sitting here with an anxious feeling that I will be disturbed. Knowing that Dick is home full-time and the elevator is broke, you never know when he'll scream "KATH". I also hear Jackie routing around in the kitchen. The next door neighbors are adding an addition to their kitchen and the saw and hammering is rather disturbing but not as much as the country music someone just turned on accross the street. It must be someone working on the road. Wow, that was quick, they turned it down. I just love the sound of the crickets, birds and cicadas chirping. But when you sit down to write you hear it all

We have had many expenses of late. Unexpected stuff. the worse kind. Tires, cars, fridges, plummers and very little unexpected income. I went on an interview for a part-time job last week, and have not heard anything yet. I'll keep looking. the hard part is I have very little to put on a resume' because of being a full-time mom and caregiver to Dick. It has been tough for me to hold on to anything for a long time. I also want something close to home. I do not want to spend an hour travel time on the road because I still have to take care of things here at the house. Laundry, cooking, cleaning, yaaard work, bills and taking care of Dick's needs.

My brother Brian has just been nominated for an award for the L.A. film festival coming up in Sept. I saw a clip of it yesterday on the internet. Innards, the clip I saw was really cool! the stuff he does is weird but very amazing. I sent him an e-mail to let him know how proud I am.

Also, yesterday, was to be Dan's first day as a Soph at Miami. I got a call from him at 9:00 saying he had a flat tire on the van. I told him to call triple A and come home to get it fixed because he also needed to pick a few things for his school room. Then he said he bought his books for the semester-$500. Bucks! holy Crap! The tire $200. A $700. dallar day! hahahaha
I took him back to schooland dropped him off. His class was not until 2:00. Today he has his first full day schedule with classed going all day. Good Luck with your school year Dan! I just know he'll do well.

I'm sitting here thinking about a post I posted on the Caregiver Support Group web page yesterday. I said something like how do we make ends meet with such little income and how do I keep Dick not depressed. One lady wrote back and said...Do you really need an income and can he volunteer? I am still pondering this because..............who doesn't need an income Lady???

Maybe we don't....who knows....maybe with enough Faith we will get by..............Ponder, ponder, ponder.
